Your inputs never leave your browser

Every tool on this site does its work on your device. When you type a salary into a calculator, the arithmetic runs in JavaScript in your browser. When you resize an image, the image is processed by your browser and never uploaded.

Your CTC, your rent, your basic salary, your images — none of it is sent to a server, logged, or stored by me. This is not a promise layered on top of the tools. There is no server-side code here that receives those inputs, because none was built. You can open your browser's network tab and confirm it: after the page loads, nothing goes out.

No accounts, no user database

There is no signup, no login, and no password on this site. I do not hold a user database, because there are no users to put in one. I have no way to identify you and no record tied to you.

What is stored on your own device

Some tools remember your preferences using localStorage, a browser feature that keeps small amounts of data on your device. This never reaches me. It stays in your browser, and clearing your browser data deletes it permanently — I cannot see it and cannot recover it.

What uses it:

• Pomodoro timer — your focus and break lengths, sound preferences, and your session streak history (which days you completed a session, and today's count).
• Light/dark theme — which theme you chose, so the site doesn't flip back on your next visit.

The Pomodoro timer has a "Clear history" button in its own settings if you want to wipe its data without clearing your whole browser.

The salary and tax calculators do not save what you type. Reload the page and the fields are empty again.

What does leave your browser

Two things, both from the hosting platform rather than from the tools themselves.

Hosting logs. This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives and logs the standard information any web request carries: your IP address, the page you requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page. This is how a web server works and applies to every site you visit. These logs are handled by Vercel under their own privacy policy. They record that a request happened — not anything you typed into a tool.

Vercel Web Analytics. Web Analytics is enabled for this site in Vercel. It is cookieless: it sets no advertising cookie, does not follow you to other sites, and does not build a profile of you. It reports aggregate figures only — page views, referrer, country, and device type. It cannot see what you type into a tool, because those inputs never reach a server.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site today. No ad network is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. The empty spaces reserved in the layout are exactly that — empty.

I intend to add Google AdSense later, and this section describes what will happen when I do. It is written in advance so the disclosure exists before anything changes.

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. This includes the DoubleClick DART cookie, which enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings.
• Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by its own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
• Third-party ad networks may also use cookies or similar technology in the ads they serve. I do not control those, and they are covered by each vendor's own privacy policy.

Advertising will not change how the tools work. Your inputs will still be processed in your browser and still never uploaded — an ad network cannot see data that never leaves your device. This page will be updated with the date advertising actually goes live.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights over personal data held about you — including access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal.

I want to be straight about how that applies here rather than claim more than I can deliver. I do not hold a database of personal data about you. There are no accounts, and your tool inputs never reach me, so for most requests there is simply nothing on my side to access, correct, or delete.

What exists is held by the processors named above: server logs and aggregate analytics at Vercel, and in future, advertising data at Google. Those are governed by their own policies and their own handling of such requests.

Children

This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. The tools are general-purpose utilities and require no personal information to use.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out — for example to the Income Tax Department's website from the calculator disclaimers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects changes, this page gets updated first, with the date above revised. In particular, advertising will be disclosed here before it goes live, not after.
