By using this site you accept these terms. If you don't, please don't use it. They are written in plain English deliberately.

The tools are provided as-is

Everything here is offered as-is, with no warranty of any kind. I do not warrant that any tool is accurate, complete, current, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

I build these carefully and test them, and the tax engine behind the calculators is covered by an automated test suite. That reduces mistakes; it does not eliminate them. Tax rules are complex and change, and software has bugs.

You are responsible for verifying output

Check any number from this site before you rely on it. Do not use output from these tools as the sole basis for filing a return, accepting a job offer, signing a contract, or any other decision that matters.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything it produces. That includes financial loss, tax penalties or interest, missed deadlines, lost data, and indirect or consequential loss.

You use these tools at your own risk. If that is not acceptable to you, use a paid professional service instead — that is a reasonable choice for anything high-stakes.

Free, with no guarantee of availability

The tools are free. There is no contract for service, no service level, and no uptime promise.

I may change, break, or remove any tool at any time, and I may stop running this site entirely without notice. Do not build anything you depend on around the continued existence of a tool here. Nothing you do on this site is stored on my side, so there is nothing of yours for me to lose if a tool goes away — but equally, nothing for me to restore.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the site or its hosting.
• Try to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
• Use automated means to hammer the site at a volume a person wouldn't.

Otherwise, use the tools as much as you like, for personal or commercial work. I don't place restrictions on what you do with output you generate.

Content and ownership

The code, text, and design of this site are mine. Anything you produce with a tool — a resized image, a calculated figure — is yours, and I claim no rights over it and never see it in the first place.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out to third-party sites, such as the Income Tax Department. I don't control those and am not responsible for their content or their practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
